Mecklenburg Summer 2023 This time I was in Mecklenburg to burry my uncle Adolf Köster. A very sad reason. But in the next year we planned to perform a photo workshop with the title “Mecklenburg Landscape of Culture”. The photos only in Black and White with a Photo Exhibition in 2025 in Röbel/Müritz. ZECHE ZOLLVEREIN Some History The industrial area of Zollverein was erected starting in 1847 by Franz Haniel. The area become the most important coal mining industry in Germany and was also important for the steel production. In the years from 1920 – 1930 many buildings in the new industrial architecture style are erected (Fritz Schupp and Martin Kremmer).
